Fiona Marie Maye, 27, of Forest Park, formerly of Riverside, died suddenly on July 29, 2018. Born on Aug. 1, 1990, she grew up locally, attended St. Bernardine Catholic School, Riverside-Brookside High School, and Triton College with a nursing scholarship from the British Home Retirement Community. She loved her family, her animals, and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was artistic and very health conscious, fighting fiercely in her lifetime — a survivor of childhood cancer, then depression, and several surgeries.
Fiona was the daughter of Tim and Catherine Maye. She is survived by Conor, Ian and Nora; her grandmother, Noel Maye, (the late) John Maye, and Patrick and Maire Fay; Uncle Peter and family, Aunt Susanna and family, Uncle Patrick and family, Aunt Maeve and family, Uncle John and Family, and all her cousins here and overseas.
Her life was celebrated in a funeral Mass at St. Bernardine’s Catholic Church on Aug. 4.
