The Kiwanis Club of Forest Park will present its 2018 Ed O’Shea Service to Youth Award to Larry Piekarz at its Annual Dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at the park district. The late Ed O’Shea was the Forest Park Village Attorney for many years and a Kiwanian for over 50 years. The Kiwanis Club initiated this award to recognize the contributions of individuals who have advanced the quality of life for our community youth. Piekarz, who is retiring from the park district in October, was instrumental in bringing the Roos Community Center to our community. He was also active in bringing the 16-inch No Glove Softball Hall of Fame to Forest Park.

Tickets to the event are $45 if purchased prior to Oct. 1 and $55 if purchased at the door. Tickets can be purchased either online or in-person at the Howard Mohr Community Center. For more information, please contact Chris Harris at Kiwanisclubfp@yahoo.com or 798-689-3180
