A man allegedly fatally shot himself inside a car parked in a lot at the intersection of Harlem Avenue and Madison Street at around 10 a.m. on Nov. 13, according to Police Chief Thomas Aftanas.

“It doesn’t appear to be anything other than a possible suicide, there’s no shooter out roaming around the neighborhood but it’s tragic nonetheless,” he said.

Aftanas said he did not know any details of the victim, including his age or place of residence. He also did not know the make or model of the car. The car was parked in the lot just south of Parky’s Hot Dogs, 329 S. Harlem Ave.

“We have very little information because detectives are still working on it,” he said.
