Joan C. Zimdahl (nee Low), 87, of Forest Park, died on Sept. 11, 2019. She became a widow 50 years ago, leaving her to raise four sons alone, a task she readily accepted and did with love, working for over 30 years at Continental Bank (now Bank of America) in downtown Chicago.
Joan was the wife of the late Robert H.; the mother of Robert (Christine), Larry (Patricia), Michael (Kristi) and the late Steven; grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of five; and the sister of the late Clarence and Victor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Melinda Low (nee Zum Mallen).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Forest Park’s St. John Lutheran Church, 305 Circle Ave., with a service at 1 p.m., followed by interment at Concordia Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home.
