Classes at the Park District
Have you ever wanted to try fencing? Are you a senior interested in Chair Yoga? Need to dance your stress away with Hip Hop Mamas? Want to give pickle ball a chance? New classes for kids and adults are starting up at the Park District of Forest Park in January. Sweet Tooth Tween Meetup
Ever wonder about the secret behind making the sweet treats you see at Twisted Cookie? Join the Forest Park Public Library at Twisted Cookie, 7401 Madison St., on Jan. 10 from 4 to 5 p.m. to learn more and enjoy a treat. Jump for Joy!
It’s a new year! Join Fit4Mom for a 10 a.m. Stroller Strides class at the Roos Recreation Center, 7329 Harrison St., with bounce house fun for the kids after 11 a.m. All ages are welcome! Register at oakpark.fit4mom.com/our-village.
Storytime at Junction Diner
Join the Forest Park Public Library for story time at Junction Diner, 7401 Madison St., on Jan. 3 from 12 to 12:30 p.m. Listen to stories while you enjoy your lunch and receive a takeaway craft to do at home. This is a drop-in program.
Senior Activities
The Senior Citizen Club meets at the Howard Mohr Community Center. 7640 Jackson Blvd., on Jan. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Jan. 9 at 1 p.m., enjoy the senior movie. Get fit on Jan. 10 with senior exercise from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Call the Community Center at 708-771-7737 for more information.
