Holiday Home Makeover Contest 

As the streets of Forest Park start to shine with all sorts of vibrant lights and decorations, residents are invited to enter the Park District of Forest Park’s Holiday Home Makeover Contest. Best in Show will receive a family four pack of pool passes for the 2021 season. The park district will also take a photo of your house and create an album and a map so our great community can tour the houses and cast their votes for People’s Choice. Virtual Beyblade Chat and Battle

Virtual Write-in for Young Authors 

On Nov. 29 from 2 to 2:30 p.m., middle aged kids are invited to build a paper fortune teller using the Forest Park Public Library’s Make-and-Take kit of the month, which will tell you what kind of story to write. There will be an interactive writing activity, discussion of different types of stories, brainstorming, and more. Details at

Bake Sale for Animal Care League

Pictures with Cardboard Santa 

The Animal Care League, 1011 Garfield in Oak Park, is offering photos with a cardboard Santa, a twist on classic photos. Photos will be taken on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3 by appointment only.
