Hines VA Hospital, 5000 5th Ave. in Hines, is now offering Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine to veterans who are over 65 years old, hospital officials said in a statement on Jan. 14.
Within that larger group of eligible people, other sub-groups of eligible individuals include: Dialysis patients, chemotherapy patients, organ transplant veterans, Homeless Veteran Program participants, Hines employees, people at the Community Living Center, people at the Residential Care Facility and people at the Inpatient Spinal Cord Center.
“If veterans are in one of the categories above and are interested in receiving the Pfizer vaccine (first and second dose), they should call to schedule an appointment,” hospital officials stated.
Appointments are currently only at the main Hines campus, which is open 7 days per week for appointments. Veterans may call their provider, 708-202-2707, or 708-202-7000 for scheduling.
