Even in a pandemic, knuckleheads, it turns out, will drink to excess on the evening of Forest Park’s traditional St. Patrick’s Day Parade. That is the explanation for why Madison Street bars were so rowdy last Saturday night. The usual public urination, excess noise and general self-debasement.

Oh and did we mention in the middle of a pandemic?

Forest Park police hope the street quiets in the weekends to come even as spring comes calling. We’re not confident in that and expect the force to be present and active to contain the chaos.
