Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is running free summer camps for incoming freshmen and for students in grades 10 through 12 at Proviso Math and Science Academy (PMSA), Proviso East and Proviso West.

For incoming freshmen, the Proviso Summer Flight 2021 Transition Camp will allow students to meet one another and learn about what high school life will be like. Activities will include teambuilding, coding activities and academic workshops. “Develop new skills, met new friends, get to know your school, and uncover your inner potential,” reads the flyer.

The camp runs from June 28 through July 19, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at PMSA, 8601 Roosevelt Rd. Transportation will be provided from Proviso East and Proviso West.

For students already attending D209 schools, the Summer Flight 2021 Free Stem Program camp will allow students take on more academic and social challenges.

Projects offerings include cybersecurity and drone-flying. “Begin your next year of high school with the skills to excel and achieve your goals,” reads the flyer.

This program is open to students in grades 10 through 12 and runs from June 28 to July 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at PMSA, 8601 Roosevelt Rd. Transportation will be provided from Proviso East and Proviso West.
