Nature Photography Challenge
Beginning on June 26, the Forest Park Public Library is holding a nature photography challenge! Send us your best plant, animal, and nature photos to ys@fppl.org. We will display our favorites in the library and invite people to vote for their favorites during the last week of our program with prizes awarded to the top three. Ages 8 and up. Dave DiNaso’s Traveling World of Reptiles

Read under the Rainbow Drag Storytime with Masha Potato
Join the library on June 28 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. for a story time with Masha Potato. The virtual event will conclude the Reader Under the Rainbow Storytime series. There will be a story, dance and chance to practice your best star poses and celebrate what makes you wonderful and unique! Families and kids aged six and under are welcome. Dip in the Pond

Children ages 11 to 16 can join a naturalist at the Trailside Museum’s Pond, 738 Thatcher Ave. in River Forest, on June 26 at 10:30 a.m. Dip a net into the pond and investigate macroinvertebrates. Bring boots or shoes that can get wet. Unvaccinated visitors must wear a mask indoors at all times; and they must wear a mask outdoors when physical distancing (six feet from other people) is not possible. Registration is required.
