Forest Park is losing a well-loved and highly respected principal as Dr. Tiffany Brunson is leaving Forest Park School District 91 where she has served as the principal of Field Stevenson and Forest Park Middle School. The board will consider her resignation at the July 8 meeting. Brunson has been with the district since 2012.

Superintendent Elizabeth Alvarez said D91 is “working fast” and already looking for someone to take Brunson’s place.

“Please know we are currently conducting interviews to find a highly qualified principal,” Alvarez told the Review in a July 7 email. “We hope to be finished by the end of July.”

She added that the district is “losing a significant leader and truly it is our loss.”

D91 has also made some changes in communications and marketing for the district, eliminating the position of Public Relations and Communications Manager, previously held by Scott Dunnell, who has left D91, and instead creating a Family and Community Engagement Manager position. Nurys Uceta Ramos has been hired for that position and will begin July 19.

“She will support the district in relationship building for our families and community,” Alvarez said.

Dunnell was hired in 2018 to replace Rebecca Latham who’d served in a similar capacity for about three years prior to that.
