Forest Park police returned to a dispute between neighbors, and cited a music lover for cranking up his speakers shortly after the cops warned him to keep it down.
Officers were initially called to the 1300 block of Circle Ave. around 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 18 by the building’s landlord who said his tenant and upstairs neighbor didn’t listen when he asked him to turn his music down.
The tenant told police it was the fault of a “cheap speaker” that he’d bought earlier that day but agreed to turn down his volume. Officers warned that he would be cited if they were called to return.
Shortly after leaving, officers were indeed summoned back to the house and were told the music was turned back up as soon as the police left. This time they did issue a citation.
