A man and woman backed their car up to the front door of the Bed, Bath & Beyond store in the 200 block of Harlem Avenue on Oct. 25 and went back-and-forth between the store and their trunk several times, loading it up with unpaid merchandise each time.

According to Forest Park police, the alleged thieves then drove away in a red Hyundai that was “smoking” as it left the area.

A store clerk yelled “excuse me” at the pair during their last trip out of the store but the remark was ignored. Another witness took a photo of the vehicle as it drove away.

The suspects are believed to be in their 50s or 60s. They made off with at least $200 in merchandise, police said.
