The village of Forest Park will host a community menorah-lighting ceremony on the first night of Hanukkah, Sunday, Nov. 28 at 4:30 p.m. in Constitution Court on Madison Street.

The event will be a secular, “cultural celebration,” according to Mayor Rory Hoskins, who announced the event along with Commissioner Jessica Voogd at the Nov. 22 village council meeting.

Rabbi Yitzchok Bergstein of Chabad Jewish Center in Oak Park will preside over the event.
