Two people reported that deliveries reportedly made on Nov. 18 never actually arrived and believed that their items had been stolen.

One incident occurred just before 1 p.m. in the 500 block of Desplaines Avenue, where a woman said she had been waiting for a new cellphone to be delivered. When the delivery company notified her the package had arrived, she went to her building’s lobby to pick it up but nothing was there.

Security camera footage later showed that no one had entered the lobby area to deliver a package at that time.

Earlier that day, in the 1000 block of Desplaines Avenue, another woman said she was notified by the same delivery company that a $459 wig she ordered had arrived in the lobby of her apartment building. Like the previous report, the woman went to retrieve the item when she returned home but nothing was there.

This information was obtained from police reports filed by the Forest Park Police Department. Unless otherwise indicated, anybody named in these reports has only been charged with a crime. These cases have not been adjudicated.
