The Park District of Forest Park last week scrubbed its newly acquired property on the south side of Harrison Street. Gone, along with memories happy and not happy, are the old Pines Restaurant and its companion Oak Leaf Lounge. Clearing and securing the site was a first step for the park district which will now focus on raising the funds necessary to construct a new building to be used for park and partner programs.
