This photo appeared in the Nov. 15, 1949 Forest Park Review, showing Forest Park schools being decorated for Christmas. The caption beneath: “Forest Park’s public schools have taken on the gay appearance of the season through the efforts of their pupils who have cut and pasted, drawn and painted the decorations that deck sober school halls and rooms, changing the theme into the land of St. Nick and the reindeer.”

Notice there is a boy on a tall ladder hanging a large winter scene in the center with two boys assisting by standing on what could be a window ledge or radiator. It appears in the foreground, some pupils are creating snowmen and others have long robes and pointed hats, perhaps like St. Nicholas himself.
