The Village of Forest Park memorialized former Forest Park Review columnist Jackie Schulz with a billboard at Des Plaines Avenue and Jackson Boulevard.

The “Talk of the Town” columnist died in early December. She had endeared herself to Forest Park residents with her weekly column. From April 1970 to August 2017 alone, she penned nearly 2,500 columns for the paper. She died at 92 in the home her grandfather had built on Beloit.
The village remembered her work as the go-to to see whose birthday was coming up, who had recently moved to Forest Park and for word on what was happening in town. Schulz, officials said, made an impression on everyone she met.
“She will be missed by those who knew her. The Village sends condolences to her friends and family,” officials said in a statement.
We miss her, too.
Be sure to drive by to see her.
