Catering to the late-night crowd
In 1972, Conway’s Single Shack at 410 Circle boasted “A touch of Old Town right here.” Jack Conway served pizza, Vienna hot dogs, Italian beef or sausage, and 28 flavors of Highlander ice cream in an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. Offering delivery service after 4 p.m., Conway’s also catered to the late-night crowd and was open weeknights until midnight and Fridays and Saturdays until 1 a.m. The business would later become Lady Bug Thrift and then Circle Pizza. Today it is home to Tooth Buds Pediatric Dentistry.
