An elderly man is missing from Aperion Care in Forest Park.
On July 7, Le Roy Barber discharged himself from Aperion Care, an assisted living facility at 8200 Roosevelt Rd. Barber’s social worker called police July 17 to report the man missing and said she was unable to do so earlier because of a high case load.
Barber, 79, has schizophrenia, dementia and diabetes, which require daily medication that he has not had, according to a missing person police report provided to the Review by the Forest Park Police Department.
Barber is 5’8” and 260 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a blue button-up shirt and shorts.
According to a July 17 police report, Barber has no living family or next of kin and is homeless.
