At least 225 people turned out Saturday for The Historical Society of Forest Park’s 7th annual Garden Walk. Seven gardens were on display as dozens of volunteers stood ready to help make sure that the day went smoothly at each stop.

Ticket pick-up began at the Park District of Forest Park’s Roos Recreation Center. The historical society had a pop-up museum showing some of Forest Park’s rich history throughout the years. Outside, the park district’s grounds supervisor showcased a sample Victory Garden next to Building 4, which was the theme of this year’s walk.

The participating homeowners graciously opened their homes and gardens. Each unique space was a reflection of their hard work and creativity.

Lin Beribak served up a special beverage with ingredients from her garden. Her historical home was also open to guests.
