A progressive comedy and shopping showcase organized by business owners along

Madison Street
will not be held this weekend.


Stir Krazee, originally set for seven hours on Saturday afternoon and into the evening, suffered from slow ticket sales, according to one of the organizers.


Tickets to Stir Krazee started at $40 and, for groups buys, were discounted. Entertainment would have included several stand-up acts, food, product giveaways and some discounts at the participating shops.


“We were a little ambitious this time,” said
Tonya Hart, co-owner of Two Fish Art Glass.


Anyone who purchased a ticket will receive a refund, Hart said.


Organizers expect to reschedule for sometime in the spring, and are considering whether the overall schedule should be shorter. Saturday’s event was set to begin at
