Music Fest
July 21, 5 to 11 p.m.; July 22, 12 to 11 p.m.; July 23,12 to 10 p.m. , Madison Street between Desplaines and Circle Avenues:
Giving Forest Park residents the chance to enjoy all that the western suburb has to offer, the 2017 Forest Park Music Fest will take place on Madison Street, spanning the area between Des Plaines and Circle Avenues. With two lively stages filled with some of Chicago’s best up-and-coming artists, crowds are sure to enjoy the beautiful summer weather and dance the night away. Forest Park Music Fest will also offer guests two beer gardens, food from some of the neighborhood’s top vendors, as well as a wide variety of carnival games, arts and crafts, and a sidewalk sale of boutique, gallery, and specialty items. Saturday’s festivities will also include a number of family-friendly activities, including a giant slide, pony rides, and face painting.
Make Your Own Pickles
July 22, 3 to 4 p.m., Forest Park Public Library, Austin Room, 7555 Jackson Blvd.:
Knockout Pickles joins us to lead a pickle making workshop. Help make your own jar of pickles that you will be able to take home with you when you are finished. All supplies will be provided for those who have registered.
