The Village of Forest Park and the Park District of Forest Park held the 17th annual Juneteenth pool party the evening of June 13.
Forest Park Mayor Rory Hoskins brought the celebration to the village in 2009 to introduce locals to the day honoring the end of slavery in the United States.
