2nd Annual Forest Park Chilli and Beer Fest

 Sept. 30, noon, Park District of Forest Park, 7501 W. Harrison St.:
Find out who has the best chili in town while sipping a cold one this weekend. The free event will include children’s activities, music and, of course, chili tasting. And if that’s not enough, you can stroll over to Veterans Field to catch the Forest Park Fall Classic Dodgeball Tournament.

Social Media: Tips & Tricks for Entrepreneurs

Learn tips, tricks and how-tos for effectively engaging on social media with customers. This two-hour workshop will explain how to develop a social media strategy and explore a variety of free software to help. Participants are encouraged to bring their personal devices. 

Pond Paddle

Oct. 3, 4 p.m., Trailside Museum of Natural History, 738 Thatcher Ave., River Forest:

Learn canoeing basics while taking in the fall colors in this introduction class. The evening will end with a campfire by the pond. Registration required.
