Police arrested a 36-year-old Chicago woman after she allegedly assaulted another woman who refused to hand over spare cash on an inbound Blue Line train, Oct. 18.

Forest Park police arrived at the CTA station at 711 Desplaines Ave. a little after 2 p.m. and talked to a woman who said she was on an inbound train when another woman approached her, asking for money.

When the woman said she didn’t have any to spare, the suspect allegedly grabbed her by the head and slammed her head against the train window.

The woman had redness and swelling to her head and cheek, police said, but refused additional medical attention.
