As a Jewish Forest Parker and the mom of two interfaith teens, I want to express my gratitude to Mayor Rory Hoskins and our community for creating a space to acknowledge our faith through Sunday’s public menorah-lighting ceremony.
While my family could not attend in person due to our own family celebration at the same time, we were there in spirit and extremely proud to know that our town continues to make efforts to be a welcoming and inclusive community.
It is my hope this season that all Forest Parkers can see themselves reflected and represented in community spaces throughout the year.
