The Forest Park Kiwanis Club, a service club dedicated to Forest Park youth, were also key in the formation and chartering of neighboring Kiwanis clubs in its 100-year history in town. The club helped start clubs in neighboring communities like Berwyn, Franklin Park, Melrose Park, Austin and Oak Park. This photo from 1960 features (left to right) Roy Olsen, President Don Onorato, Fred Becker, and driver Howard Mohr. The men were sharing a traveling gavel with the Cicero Kiwanis Club, and to do it properly, had it baked in a loaf of Bohemian rye bread.
