The 1976 Forest Park Memorial Day Parade was jointly sponsored by the Forest Park American Legion Post 414 and Forest Park Memorial Post 7181. The parade assembled at Circle Avenue and Randolph Street and marched south on Circle to Madison, west on Madison to Desplaines, turning south to Harrison and ending at The Park.
The Forest Park Blood Assurance Program was one of the entries, as Forest Park had engaged in a supply promise to the Red Cross. Their first draw netted 169 pints and they were preparing for their second draw with a goal of 225 pints, using the parade to remind the community of the need.
