As this year comes to a close, we at Growing Community Media are launching our 2025 Year-End Campaign. Over the next 60 days, we will be asking you, our readers and supporters, to invest in the future of your local news.

Our campaign is built around a powerful idea: Our newsroom belongs to this community. At a time when every community needs its news more than ever, we need you. Now more than ever.

Across the country, newsrooms are closing, reporters are facing unprecedented challenges, and communities are losing access to the stories that matter most. We are not immune, and every day demands focus, hard work, and dedication.

Here at the Forest Park Review, we confront these challenges head-on. In the toughest of moments, we continue to deliver. This year our reporting earned a series of state journalism awards recognizing the depth, accuracy, and impact of our work. The Review, in fact, was named the best small weekly in the state by the Illinois Press Association. Our digital audience continues to grow, reaching more of our community than ever, and we have invested in tools, training, and technology to strengthen our storytelling and build a sustainable newsroom for the future. All this is possible because our neighbors believe and invest in the power of local news.

Community journalism has long sought a sustainable future. We believe it is within reach here. With your support, we can continue to inform, connect, and strengthen our neighborhoods. We can keep building a model of local news that lasts.

Join us over the next two months as we work to secure the future of local news in the communities we serve with Austin Weekly, Wednesday Journal of Oak Park & River Forest, Forest Park Review and Riverside-Brookfield Landmark. Together, we can make it happen.
