In 1990 when Forest Park resident Jon Kubricht was 12 years old, he started making jewelry. It was the basis for a career, for decades of artistry and expertise that has taken him to the Czech Republic numerous times, to China and Thailand, and all over the world.

Ten days after an email to parents about a safety concern at Forest Park Middle School, District 91 Superintendent Louis Cavallo sent a second email on the evening of Feb. 17. This email, presumably related to the first, references a "security threat" at the middle school.

Forest Park's police dog Madison, who's been officially working for the department since March 2018, is more than earning her keep. Between January 2018 and 2020, she has assisted in the seizure of over $1.5 million in drugs and drug-related money, a portion of which goes back to the Forest Park Police Department.

The Proviso Math and Science Academy (PMSA) parking lot is getting a hefty makeover this summer, if all goes according to schedule.
